India’s FSSAI warns content creators against endorsing unverified food claims

FSSAI has cautioned influencers and celebrities against promoting food products with unverified or misleading health claims, such as "boosts immunity." The Regulator stressed that the products to be endorsed must have claims that are truthful, verified and comply with laws must be verified by the content creators else these violations could invite action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the Advertising and Claims Regulations, 2018.
