Maharashtra FDA to seek NPPA action against overpriced medicines

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has identified several medicines allegedly being sold at excessive prices and plans to refer these cases to the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) for regulatory action. The FDA has also indicated that it will intensify surveillance of drug pricing and investigate instances of unreasonable mark-ups to strengthen compliance with pricing regulations.
