India’s Delhi High Court orders forensic audit into share dissipation amid arbitral award enforcement

The Delhi High Court has directed a six-month forensic audit into alleged dissipation of listed company shares during enforcement of a long-pending foreign arbitral award, upheld earlier by the Supreme Court. A chartered accountancy firm has been appointed to reconstruct transaction records, including share pledges, transfers and fund flows involving banks and related entities, to determine whether assets were deliberately moved to evade enforcement, or genuinely lender-driven.
